Sometimes a Pet Urn is not what you are looking for...

A portrait is a wonderful way to honor the memory of your dog or cat. It is a great alternative to a pet urn. If you do not have your pet's cremated ashes, or you choose to scatter the ashes, or just do not desire a pet urn, a pet portrait is the perfect chouice. Any loved animal can be remembered through a portrait. Horse urns, for example, may just be to large to be feasable. Yet a wonderful portrait can hang beautifully on your wall.

I have gathered two wonderful, colorful, vibrant pet portrait artists: Ferril Nawir and Robyn Feeley. I have been a fan of both of their work for years now. There mediums are quite different, batik on silk, pastel on canvas, respectively, yet they both capture the exuberance and joy that we shared with our pets.

The death of a loved pet is tremendously difficult. We all grieve in our own ways. But when you are ready to focus on the joy, silliness, laughter and love that your pet brought you, one of these portraits will help keep the happy and joy in your heart, a smile every time you look up at your wall.
